Paul Strode: "Teaching Students to Think Like Scientists"
Saturday, February 24, 2018 - 9:30am
Macbride Auditorium
Macbride Hall

An Iowa City Darwin Day talk.

Science is all of the tasks, including the trial and error, unique to the problem at hand, that we must carefully complete as we investigate patterns, test claims, and ultimately generate new knowledge. Dr. Paul Strode will discuss how teaching students to think like scientists and successfully perform these tasks requires transforming the science classroom into a place where students constantly learn content through inquiry.
